Seasonal Hydrosol - Pine Pollen Catkins
Current Seasonal Blend - Pine Pollen and Catkins
What makes our hydrosols different?
Our hydrosols are crafted in our Portuguese copper Alembic still, intentionally made throughout the seasons based on the abundance that varies with the ever-changing landscape. For our wild harvested blends, we handpick plants with the careful consideration to never harvest in a way that harms the local populations, and monitor closely year-round to ensure sustainability. We also love to work with local organic farms to obtain beautiful high-quality herbs.
What is a hydrosol?
Hydrosols, sometimes referred to as hydrolats, floral waters, or herbal distillates, are the waters released from plant material during the process of distillation. There are small amounts of essential oils in our hydrosols, but in much smaller quantities than essential oil blends, and therefore much more gentle on the skin. The beneficial qualities vary for each seasonal blend, but many floral waters have tonifying, astringent, or redness-reducing effects, for example.
